Party Mode (stereo) for my TV?

I enjoy listening to music with two S1 Pros in Party Mode. I get stereo L and R separation using the Bose Connect app on my iPhone or iPad for streaming from Spotify or Sirius. I would like to have the same performance with my TV but can’t figure out how to do it....

I have an LG 55UJ62 TV with AppleTV 4K. I have tried to connect through APPLE TV / SETTINGS / REMOTES AND DEVICES / BLUETOOTH.

I can see Bose S1 Pro L and Bose S1 Pro R in my list of paired devices and I can connect to either one but not both at the same time. I am thinking that I would need the Bose Connect app on my Apple TV to use the Party Mode to stream from one speaker to the other. I can’t find the Bose Connect app for the Apple TV 4K in the App Store. Is that something Bose can remedy?
Or is there another way to solve this problem?

thanks,

Warren

Re: Party Mode (stereo) for my TV?

Hi Warren,

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.  Welcome.

You are right, to use Party Mode or Stereo L/R Mode, you must be running the Bose Connect app on the device providing audio.

Bose Connect is available only on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. It is not supported for Apple TV.

Bose has not announced plans to add Apple TV to the supported platforms.

I'm sorry not to have better news on this.

There are third-party transmitters that support multiple Bluetooth devices, but I haven't seen one that splits the signal into left and right outputs for stereo.

For now, you can still get the sound in mono. Connect the TV via Bluetooth to one S1 Pro. Then connect the S1 Pro line out to the second S1 Pro. See this article: S1 Pro Daisy Chain

Or,

Since your TV has an optical output, you can get an optical/digital to analog converter. This will give you two analog outputs (left and right) and you can connect those to your S1 Pro systems. This won't be as convenient as a wireless connection, but you will have stereo.

Re: Party Mode (stereo) for my TV?

BT audio for your TV will be hopeless anyway, the latency is way too high. Just connect your S1's with suitable cables and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give the cables a try.
