Recording with T4S and Garage Band

I’ve made a few recordings using my T4S using input #1, a shure 58 mic and my saxophone.  I load a backing track into garage band one one track and then add another track for the sax.  All works great.  Recently I set up the same scenario on input 2, 3 and 4 and can not get a signal to Garage Band from any of those inputs.  Any suggestions on how to remedy this would be appreciated

Cheers,

Takefive

Hi Takefive!

The T4S & T8S can only output 2 channels via USB. The mixers are set to output the stereo master mix by default, but you can also assign specific inputs to be output via USB - see "USB B to PC" on page 29 of the owner's guide for instructions on this.

When the T4S is selected as the audio interface, Garageband will give you the option of adding either left or right channel as a mono track ("Input 1" or "Input 2"), or both channels in a stereo track ("Input 1 + 2"):

To ensure that all instruments are being recorded in Garageband, set up a stereo track is set up in Garageband and ensure the T4S is set to output Left: Master and Right: Master via USB.

Hope this helps!
