FYI: When I submitted my claim for the S1 Pro backpack, I received an email immediately confirming my claim. The email was from Bose entited: You successfully submitted your claim. If you didn't get a confirmation email, you might look in your email junk folder.

Yes I got those too but then the next sentence reads “once your claim is approved...” etc.

Good point.  But of course the next paragraph says, "Claim status inquiries may be sent to Bose by email...", so I guess if you really have concerns you could contact them after a few days. As for myself, I'm confident in my purchase date and serial number so I don't expect any issues with my claim approval.

ST posted:

To our valued Bose S1 Pro system customers.

Since the introduction of the S1 Pro multi-position PA system four months ago we heard from you, our customers, on how the S1 Pro was meant to be portable, and truly portable by today's standards is equivalent to "without AC power".  For this reason we made a change to the S1 Pro product.  Starting today (May 10, 2018), the S1 Pro now ships standard with the S1 Battery Pack included and pre-installed.  We heard your feedback and are thrilled to make this change.

Now, we appreciate our early adopters and understand that you are probably wondering, "what about my earlier purchase?".  We are pleased to offer owners of S1 Pro systems purchased May 9, 2018 and earlier, a complimentary S1 Pro Backpack ($149 US value).  We engineered this durable bag so you can carry your Bose S1 Pro System hands-free. Three zippered compartments allow you to store cables and other items safely, while the adjustable shoulder straps, molded foam back panel and convenient handles allow you to carry your S1 Pro System comfortably anywhere you travel.

To redeem your offer, visit https://bosebackpack.com/ and complete the form. You’ll need the serial number from your S1 Pro System.

This offer is valid May 10, 2018 – August 7, 2018.

GREAT news ST, thanks for sharing - GO BOSE!!

Re: S1 Pro Battery included and S1 Pro Backpack for early adopters. May 10 2018

Your email was a conformation email indicating the process of the form was submitted  and received successfully.  They may know the serials by computer speed another words if the serials do not match those sold within that date time May 9 2018, it might be kicked out. Then there is the possibility the serial item was issued at specific times before May 9th but not sold within that time period, still in store inventory, those would not have a battery in it. Now I would suspect that Bose would send to those stores the batteries directly for their stock inventory to be included to  those serial purchases. Oh maybe Bose has no clue if you received a battery or not after the May 9th date, and asks that the stores be responsible for supplying the batteries.

Re: S1 Pro Battery included and S1 Pro Backpack for early adopters. May 10 2018

Quick question, I also got my S1 thru Sweetwater. And got the call from them and I have gotten confirmation as well that my order has gone thru. So big thank you from me to those at Bose. One question though, dose the back pack also come with a shoulder strap or just the back pack straps. I have a 45 dollar bag still on its way for the S1 lol,m but it has a shoulder strap. Either way I'm quite happy, just wanting to know for my own knowledge. )

I can confirm that (stores have ancient inventory and will not send the unit with battery).

So I wonder why Thomann just increased the S1 Pro's price from €599 to €655!!!  And they are sending the ancient inventory... So, price increased, but no battery included.

Anyway, note that they should not even increase the price...!

I never got the impression that the price would go up with the battery included. That seems counter intuitive.

Re: S1 Pro Battery included and S1 Pro Backpack for early adopters. May 10 2018

Maybe Thomann bought batteries separately which was to mate with the S1's sold without batteries and want to get their money for the batteries they bought. Thus the hike in price, which includes a battery.
