Notice

The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Re: S1 Pro idea - connect S1 Pro units in stereo or party mode (mono) without Bose Connect app

Hi Wireless DJ,

Do you mean, you want the ability to link to S1 Pro systems in stereo mode or party mode without using the Bose Connect app?

Please add your suggestion to the linked discussion below.

From what I've been able to find, to do Bluetooth multi-point or multi-stream connections, the Bluetooth transmitter must provide that capability. There are third-party transmitters that can do this, but they send two stereo streams. I haven't seen one that splits the signal into left and right to separate devices.

The Bose Connect app sets up the connection between the device running the app (and the source of the audio) and two Bose Bluetooth devices (S1 Pro or some other Bose products).  Right now, most Bluetooth transmitters (in tablets and phones) don't have Bluetooth multi-point or multi-stream transmitters. The Bose Connect app does that in software.

I use the Bose Connect app frequently.  If you power down the app or the connected Bluetooth devices, when you turn on the app again,  the app remembers the connection to the device most recently used - one device. And then, you have to connect to the second device. That takes three taps and can happen in under 30 seconds. It takes one more tap to make that connection stereo.
