I have a Sony Powered 50w Sub and want to connect to the S1 Pro using the TRS out from the Pro to the sub. Problem: the Sub IN has only an RCA input and the OUT from the S1 requires a TRS 1/4". So how do I connect the two - assuming the RCA in is an unbalanced input?
OK so yes - I understand I can buy a 1/4" to RCA converter, but....will the audio be transmitted if the Tip Ring Sleeve is not continued in the RCA portion?
If you get a 1/4 inch (6 mm) jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve to two RCA jacks cable, connect only one of the RCA connections to the sub.
If you get a 1/4 inch (6 mm) jack Tip-Sleeve to two RCA jacks cable, you can connect both RCA connections to the sub.
It shouldn't make a difference which cable you get.
