Re: T1 mic stand adapter broke

The most non fancy solution - a couple of hose clamps and a hacksaw:

This is me holding the mic stand about 3 feet off the ground - by the adapter:

You can take it off the mic stand and put it back easily enough with a nut driver. I leave it on. I carry the mic stand - wrapped up in the handles of one of the cylindrical array bags:

Works well:

Takes about 10 minutes to do. I have more pix if anyone has questions.

I've done it to two adapters - and have been using it this way since about mid summer time.

SunDog, why do you need a hacksaw?

Re: T1 mic stand adapter broke

Here is a clamp that can be modified for the bracket arm. If you search Musicians Friend for clamps, there are several pages of different types. The same type of clamp shown at this link can be purchased for $3.99 elsewhere on the site but you have to look for it.

If you look at the top photo - you can kind of see where I cut slots for the hose clamps to fit down into - for a more secure hold.

Here is a picture of the slots:

I ran it without the slots for a little while. It worked fine - but I think that this way is more secure.

Re: T1 mic stand adapter broke

After my 2nd stand adapter broke, I gave up on it and started using a music stand to support the T1. The adapter is a poor design and needs to be reworked.
