just got my t8s. How can I connect t8s to L1 model ll?

Use the power supply that came with the T8S as shown in the owners guide.

Connect one of the 1/4 inch (6 mm) Main Outputs to your L1 Model II Analog Input. 

Use a 1/4 inch (6 mm)Tip-Ring-Sleeve cable.

Set the Model II Power Stand  Analog Input trim to 9:00 o'clock.

T4S:
You can use the ToneMatch ethercon connection for a T4S to an L1 Model II.

T8S:
Use the supplied ToneMatch power supply to power the T8S. Then use one of the 1/4 inch (6 mm) T8S outputs to connect to the L1 Model II Analog Input.

Thanks ST, I was on phone with Bose and they told me to use tsr to xlr cable to connect t8s and L1. They told me to use any one main.

which way is better?

also earlier with t1 I used to connect my iPad on channel 4/5. I was able to control volume and other things from channel 4/5 on tone match.

With t8s how to connect iPad? Are there any channel assignments?

XLR to Tip-Ring-Sleeve or Tip-Ring-Sleeve to Tip-Ring-Sleeve

- either way is fine. I personally prefer

Tip-Ring-Sleeve to Tip-Ring-Sleeve

because then the cables are reversable <=> I don't have to think about which end goes to which device.

Connect your iPad to two T8S channels (e.g. 7 and 😎 or set the iPad to Mono and use a single output to one T8S channel.

You can't assign the Aux inputs (9/10) to channels 1 through 8. They go straight through to the main output.
