The S1 Pro system channels 1 and 2 have ToneMatch® Presets for guitar and microphone.
What microphone are you using with your S1 Pro?
Are you using the ToneMatch® Preset for microphone?
How do you like it?
So far I've used
The Beyerdynamic is smooth and articulate and works well right up to the limit of the S1 Pro.
The EV N/D 767a is smooth in the low and mid ranges. I found it slightly accentuated in the top end. Not bad for my voice, just a touch bright. I think this would punch through better in a noisy space than the Beyerdynamic.
Both were extremely well behaved with respect to feedback.
You told us you're using your in this the S1 Pro system discussion.
Please tell us more about this combination of the S1 Pro and the Heil PR35.
Quick update for the discussion.
I just rummaged around the mic drawer.
Both of these sounded good enough to use at a gig.

I received my S1 Pro today and did a bare bones trial run. Guitar straight in, Mic straight in. I used my Helicon MP-75 that responded very well, nice lows and not to bright, but it made me crave my Neumann KMS105. I then used the T1 into the S1 Pro and Wow! Made my Neumann really pop to the front of the line. Unfortunately there is no Phantom Power on the S1 Pro, but there is on the T1, so I'm covered very well.
So far I have used a Shure Beta 58a and my main announcement mic I usually use during my DJ shows... the Shure 55 deluxe. They both sounded good, but I preferred the sound of the 55 Deluxe... it tends to be a bit brighter general, but on the S1 sounds sound a bit sweeter in the upper mids with out changing the the equalizer settings. I the eq flat on the S1 Pro and used my mixers eq to take some low out...
Vocals sounded great though the little S1 Pro... loving this little speaker!
SM 58 forever but tried a SM57 this morning I had on a stand and it sounds great too. ..... Shure, Martin and Bose....can't go wrong.

We used Shure KSM9 while some singing some Karaoke at home. Sounded great on my wife’s voice... but not as good on mine, no fault of the S1 Pro lol.
