I have a new Bose Portable Home Speaker. The sound is great, but there is one glaring problem.
Everytime I turn the speaker on, the speaker announces the battery level in a loud voice. This also happens when I connect the speaker from my phone with bluetooth.
I need to use the speaker in an environment where these announcements are entirely unacceptable. The only sound I want to hear is the music playing.
I tried looking for a setting in the iOS app to turn off these announcements. There is a setting for Voice Prompts, but that only turned off the Bluetooth Connection announcement, not the Battery Percentage (even when the battery is fully charged)
Please let me know how to turn off both the Battery Percentage announcements.
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.
I'm sorry that the speaker announcements are not convenient for yourself. At this current time, it is not possible to disable this. I understand that this is not ideal for you and I will certainly pass along your request to disable them to our development team for consideration.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
