My "SoundLink Air" stopped appearing in the AirPlay menu, so I tried to set it up from scratch.
1) I tried the USB connection but the Setup App keeps saying that there is no connection.
2) I reset it according to the suggestions in this board, but the network "Bose SoundLink Air Network" never came up.
Is there anything that can be done now?

Yes, I tried both the app (with a USB cable) and the "alternate" method (through wifi). Neither worked.
