SoundLink Air stopped connecting, cannot set up

My "SoundLink Air" stopped appearing in the AirPlay menu, so I tried to set it up from scratch.

 

1) I tried the USB connection but the Setup App keeps saying that there is no connection.

 

2) I reset it according to the suggestions in this board, but the network "Bose SoundLink Air Network" never came up.

 

Is there anything that can be done now?

Thanks for the response, Sam!

 

Yes, I tried both the app (with a USB cable) and the "alternate" method (through wifi).  Neither worked.

My situation is just as @rrummer indicated in the thread that you mentioned:

 

Steps 5 & 6 are an indicator of my problem. There is no audible tone and the Bose SoundLink Air Network is not visible in my iPhone for connecting by Wifi.
