SoundLink Mini II Special Edition Charging Update

Hey everyone,
 
I hope everyone is enjoying their SoundLink Mini II Special Edition!

We have a firmware update coming soon which will allow you to charge the SoundLink Mini II Special Edition from certain computers with USB ports that are currently not compatible with the speaker.  For now, the speaker will charge from any wall charger plug with a USB-A port – like a common mobile phone charger.

We’ll provide you with more information on the update when we have it. Until then, we’d love to hear your feedback on the SoundLink Mini II SE, so please leave them in the comments below!

Other than a longer battery life and USB charging is there any difference with the other Soundlink mini 2 models???

I hope not. I just bought one as I got a mini 2 for my wife a few years back and loved the sound.

Sounds pretty good but yeah I'd like to know too if they have changed anything regarding the sound quality. Unfortunately I can't compare the two at the moment.

How about the original SoundLink Mini II and the Limited Edition which have micro USB charging. Won't they get a firmware update at least to improve the sound? It's a shame because those sounded better before firmware version 1.1.4 including the original SoundLink Mini.

Update! Have compared the sound now between Soundlink Mini 2 and the SE version and could not discern any appreciable difference. FYI.

Is there a charging dock available..? I see the points below the speaker.. Wondering where to get...
