Soundlink will not charge

I’m having issue with my soundlink speaker charging. I’m thinking it’s in the plug on speaker. I’ve always had issues with the plug. The design I feel could be so much better. I changed it yesterday and it worked fine all day. I plugged it in last night and cannot get it to charge. No lights come on and speaker will not work regardless if it’s plugged in or not. What is the problem?

To reset the Bose Soundlink Color Press and hold the AUX and volume down buttons for seconds ifacetimeapp.

My speaker, the original soundlink color I, was working fine allowing charge and just one day when it ran low and needed a charge it just wouldn't  charge. How it was being used: an aux cable to a TV, if that matters.  Things I tried:  different charge cable ( a friends Bose cable) tried changing power source (USB to computer, direct to wall outlet) Also tried the reset (Aux & "-" for 10 sec) and get nothing.   Do you have any other suggestions?
