Soundlink color 2, no sound when playing through Bluetooth after FW upgrade

I upgraded my soundlink color 2 to firmware version 2.5.1 (latest at this moment)

Since then unable to play music over bluetooth.

 

I reset the unit (10s multi-function button and unpaired all Bluetooth devices (10s Bluetooth button), and repaired my iPhone, still no luck.

 

The unit reacts normally to button presses, leds and audio feedback are working.

Just no sound over Bluetooth, nothing at all.

 

Remote device is an iPhone 6s with iOS 13.2 (latest at this moment)

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Bose Community. I am sorry to read that you are having some strange Bluetooth issues with your SoundLink Color 2 and would love to assist you further today. 

 

I appreciate that you have attempted the reset and the update steps so far and would highly recommend that you next test the speaker with another device other than the iPhone 6s to see if the same issue persists with the speaker. 

 

I would also suggest that you attempt to use a different streaming service, for example, Youtube or Spotify to see if you still receive no audio. Can you please also confirm if you receive any audio at all when using an Aux connection as you haven't stated so in your post above. 

 

I look forward to hearing back from you in regard to this and if any other users have had a similar issue after the update please do let us know below.

I tried to pair it with my iMac (OSX Catalina 10.15.1).

Initially the pairing went well, the unit reported it was paired with the Mac.

Then after a few seconds the link dropped. I tried again, same thing happened.

 

Then tried with iPad pro (iOS 13.2).

The pairing went well, but also here when I play music there is no sound at all.

So basically same issue as with the iPhone.

I tried this from Spotify and from Apple music, same result: no sound at all.

 

The I tried with the AUX, and it worked like it did before. Normal sound.

 

But then I switched back to Bluetooth (pressed the round-with-arrow button once), and suddenly it started playing...

Really weird as I did try that before and it didn't help.

 

Then I switched back to the iPhone and it now also plays via Bluetooth.

So it seems disappeared for now, but not really sure what the issue is.

 

I would not say this is solved as I think it might come back.
