Bose powermatch 8500 on limit

Good afternoon everyone, I have a problem with my powermatch 8500. At low volume, channels 7 and 8 sometimes go into the limit.

It is gone when the amplifier is restarted.

My setup is: channel 1.2 (bridge) Bose MB24 channel 3.4 (bridge) Bose MB24, channel 5.6 (bridge) Bose 802 III, channel 7.8 (bridge) Bose 802 III.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Re: Bose powermatch 8500 on limit

Hello Brant,

Thank you for contacting us.

I've noticed that a AmpLink card is used in the PowerMatch USB amplifier?
It could be that there is some dust in the optical connector causing this.
And please you a "professional" optical cable.

Have you tried reproducing this issue by swapping the 802s from channel 5-6 and 7-8?
How many 802s are connected per output?
Can you share the design file and the alarm log?

Re: Bose powermatch 8500 on limit

Hello Arno,

I usually use 2 and sometimes 4 802 speakers on channel 5,6,7,8.

I do not use the optical connection.

A mixer is connected to channels A and B.

I have already exchanged the 802 speakers and the problem still persists.

The device is also dust-free. And there is nothing special in the log file.

Re: Bose powermatch 8500 on limit

Hello Brant,

Looking at the level channel 7/8 is limiting, could it be that the limiter for these channels are set incorrectly?
Can you share the design file?
