EX1280 - logic to GPO issue

Hey Team,

I am working with logic blocks in an EX1280. I am using them to control the state of GP outputs.

Most of it works well until I used a debounce block to cascade logic changes.

The weird thing is it works fine while the program is offline in CSD. Once I go online, it doesn't work. The debounce circuit fails. I've attached a photo... any thoughts as to why it would work in CSD but not once deployed?

Thanks!!

Re: EX1280 - logic to GPO issue

Hi Jeff,

Very strange issue. Just to be clear, you mentioned it only works when offline? I assume you mean the program file shows the correct activity, but in practice, the GPO is not responding correctly?

What do you see on the GP output block when online in CSD? What is this logic triggered by in general? Also, please provide your design file and I can have this tested here. The more detail you can provide, the better.

Thank you,

Re: EX1280 - logic to GPO issue

Thanks Chris,

That is correct. It works in CSD while offline, but once uploaded to the EX1280, the GPO's do not respond and pulse as expected. The logic is triggered by recalling a parameter set that pulses a logic input. When online, the designated GPO will pulse once.
