F1 speaker data available

Hi all,

we are happy to announce that as of today, speaker data for the Bose F1 Model 812 loudspeaker is available. There will finally be an installer package available on pro.bose.com but since we know that some of you are awaiting these files, we are posting them here such that you can manually install them right away.

Installation:
In the attached zip file, you will find four spm files for the four array configurations as well as a bitmap file that includes an image of the product. Bitmap and SPM need to be copied to various places within the data folder of your Modeler (Plus) installation:

The bitmap needs to go into:
…\data\speaker_data\Bose\Images

For the spm files, we recommend to create a new folder named “F1” within the Bose data folder and drop the four spm files into this folder:
…\data\speaker_data\Bose\F1

Some notes:
The speaker data has been measured under the assumption that the speakers have point-source characteristics, i.e. the speakers were assessed as a whole and a single balloon was measured in the “farfield”. This means that any near-field response is not precisely represented (e.g. similar to an 802) and that it is not applicable to stack F1 speakers in Modeler.

Yes, you should be able to use these files also for the powered variant.

There are currently no plans to author polar data for the subwoofer since it is not available as an installation version.
