Sending Serial strings OUT of the Ethernet port of Control Space

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction - the CSD manual and help file talks about being able to send and receive serial strings out of the Ethernet port (besides the serial port) on the unit, although I am not able to find any information on how to set this up.

I am already using the physical serial port to control a projector but need to add Ethernet control of a HDMI matrix switcher to the CSD file and am not sure how I implement this within CSD.

Many thanks in advance

Re: Sending Serial strings OUT of the Ethernet port of Control Space

Hello Con.Andrews,

The SoIP is designed to control the DSP using the commands mentioned in the serial protocol.

It’s important to note that ESP, EX, PowerMatch and PowerShare products only act as Server for serialover-Ethernet connections; the connection must be initiated by the Client device.

So if the HDMI matrix can initiated the connection, it might work (haven't tested this).
