Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

You might want to check on returning the buds after you receive the replacement. That's the way it worked for the first 6 I returned but for the last pair, they didn't ship until they received the return.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

Has anyone who requested a refund actually received their refund? This is my main concern.

Second question: has anyone found any wireless earbuds that last at least 8 hours on a charge, and are small enough/don't poke out of your ear too much so you can sleep comfortably all night? I'm grateful for any suggestions anyone has.

I don't believe they exist. Bose were pushing the state of the art with Sleepbuds, and in order to get them down to a size that didn't poke out of your ear, they needed to develop a new battery technology. This ultimately proved to be their downfall as the battery technology was not 100% reliable. All other wireless earbuds I've seen have two limitations compared to the Sleepbuds – the first being that they are considerably larger and the second being that they don't have onboard storage, music has to be streamed from your mobile device - meaning you have a Bluetooth radio transmitting and receiving constantly.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

I tried the Cambridge Audio Melomania's. Not quite small enough and though advertised at 9 hours, only 6 - 7.

Bose Sleep App crashing in IOS 13

Hello,

I have recently purchased a new pair of Sleepbuds, which I am very happy with. Unfortunately, the application crashes when I try to download new sounds from the online library. My device is an iPhone with IOS 13 installed. My iPad does not work neither, same problem. May exist a compatibility issue with the new operating system from Apple?

Thank you.

Re: Bose Sleep App crashing in IOS 13

Hello syerbes,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having some issues with the Bose Sleep app on iOS 13.

Does your iPad also have iOS 13 installed?

Please ensure that you have the most recent update of iOS 13 on both your iPhone and iPad.

Could you please ensure that you have the most up to date version of the Bose Sleep app also?

Warm regards,

Charlotte G - Community Support

Re: Bose Sleep App crashing in IOS 13

Hello,

I have both the last update of IOS 13 and the last version of the application installed, in the IPad as well. I tried to reinstall it with no fix to the crash problem.

Thank you for the assistance.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

Thanks @kaiserh  that's what I figured. If I could find some that are not terribly uncomfortable to sleep in, I'd be willing to take the risk of using bluetooth all night. I saw that you posted links to the sounds a while ago. I was excited, but when I try to download one, it never finishes downloading, even though it shows the full file size amount 😞

Re: Bose Sleep App crashing in IOS 13

Hello syerbes,

Thank you for getting back to me with this information.

I have just tested this here using an iPhone Xs on iOS 13.2.2 with the Bose Sleep app (v2.3.0) and was able to successfully download and transfer new sounds to the Sleepbuds.

Could you please try restarting both devices!

Additionally, please reset the charging case of the Sleepbuds by inserting a paper clip into the hole next to the charging port.

Please also visit btu.bose.com on your computer and ensure that the charging case is running the latest version as well as ensuring that there are no updates for the Sleepbuds in the Bose Sleep app.

Once you have done this, please get back to me and let me know if the issue persists.

Warm regards,

Charlotte G

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

I've not seen any earbuds that are anywhere near as small as the Sleepbuds. Most other earbuds are 2x – 4x the size of the Bose. This means that the batteries alone in the other units are bigger than the entire battery and electronics in the Sleepbuds.

Everything else sticks out of your ear - which may be OK if you're a front or back sleeper, but if you're a side sleeper, it just won't work.
