Re: Are bose going to relaunch a new version of the sleepbuds

I certainly hope so.  Half the time I have to sleep in the guest bedroom.

Re: sleepbuds return status

I am sending my earbuds in for a replacement.  The email I received was unclear about what to send back. Do I just do the earbuds, the earbuds in their little ear pieces, the charging component box or everything?

Re: sleepbuds return status

Hi Bebesgitl,

I'd be happy to help with this!

For the US, when sending in your Sleepbuds for a replacement, the important parts to include are both of the earbuds and the charging case. You don't need to take the rubber ear tips off the buds as these will be replaced as well.

However, if you are outside of the US, this may vary, so it would be worth giving your local support team a call to double-check! You can find their contact information HERE.

I hope this helps!

Re: BOSE NOISE MASKING SLEEPBUDS, Returned on 10/15/2019

Returned the earbuds December 9th. Finally called in late February and spoke to someone in customer service. Was told to expect the refund in early March, "mid-March at the very latest."

Well, now it's mid-March, and we have a national emergency on our hands with this virus, and I never received the $250 from Bose.

I have very little money in this world, suffer from horrible tinnitus (which is why I bought them originally), and as it looks -- since we're entering into a very difficult time and people will not be working and the country will be closed down for weeks if not months -- that I turned over a week's pay (yes) to the Bose Corporation for nothing. I'll never see this money or the earbuds again.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

Hi all,

Please forgive me if this has already been asked but is there a way to determine if a set of Sleepbuds is from the newest batch with replacement batteries? Like a range of serial numbers or dates on the box, etc?

Thanks,

mario

Yes, there will be a green sticker on the box near the serial number.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

There hasn't been any official confirmation from Bose that I know of.

Based on what the Bose admins in this forum told me, I thought that all replacement units we received after the announcement would be the (improved battery) good batch... but I no longer think that's true.

I personally noticed that replacements I received after the announcement started having a green dot on the outside of the box that I didn't see before.  I was wondering if it meant that it was the good batch, but Bose hasn't confirmed that to be true (that I know of).

My assumption is that the farther the manufacture date is from the announcement, the more likely that the unit is the good batch.  You can determine the manufacture date by the four digits after the letter in your serial number; mine's a Z. The first digit is the year (9 being 2019), and the next three digits are the day of the year.  For example, mine is Z9287 = Oct 14, 2019.

If anyone's had a replacement unit with battery that lasted longer than 4 months, I'd be interested to know what your manufacture date is.

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

My first green sticker replacement only lasted a few days, by far the least of 10 pairs I've had.

@miklosh13 and @alphalog Thank you!

@alphalog Were yours from 10/14/2019 any good? The set I'm looking at are from 10/28/2019

Re: Sleepbuds Discontinuing Discussion

eznoh,

I am very sorry to hear that.

There is a Sleepbuds Facebook group (not owned by Bose).  The vast majority of the posts and experiences with the green dot has been very positive so far.
