Speaker keeps switching off when playing, regardless of wifi signal strength (which it says is great), but doesn't do it after any particular time. I've tried factory settings, taking it off the extender, re-booting etc but no joy. Any clues please?

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your HomeSpeaker 500, however I would love to assist you further.
Firstly, I would recommend that you perform a product reset rather than a factory reset. This can be performed by turning off the product and unplugging it from power for 30 seconds. When power is reconnected, a tone is heard from the product.
Have you also attempted to remove the speaker from your account and then re-add it? I would also recommend using a different power outlet to ensure that this isn't causing any issues.
