Bose 700 audio track setting

Looking for clarification on the Bose 700 audio settings. On the app under audio there is a setting audio track. Your choices are track 1,track 2 or both. What is this for and what is the best setting? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for posting on the Bose Community.

For audio tracks recorded in dual mono format, this allows the user to select which mono track they want to listen to.  A dual mono recording could have completely different content in the left and right channels.  For example, the Left track might be in English and the Right track in a different language.  The selected track will be played through both right and left channels.

What a weird and confusing setting.
I have never heard of a dual mono audio track. For people using a media streamer and watching regular content in 5.1 Dolby or DTS, what is the recommended setting?

Thanks for the question.

I personally leave mine to the default setting of "Both." 

It should have no bearing on the type of content you're listening to.
