Bose 700 remote only lights up items

My Bose 700 remote doesn't light up all buttons when you move it.  Only a few buttons at the  top, the mute, a volume buttons light up.  Should the entire remote light up?

Hello Gtuerner,

 

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.

 

The buttons that illuminate will depend on the source that you have selected. 

Generally, when you have the TV or Cable Box selected, all of the buttons will illuminate. With the Music source, only selected buttons will light up.

 

Please test the different sources and let me know if you see the same results.
