HDMI Switcher and Soundbar 700

Hello, my question is this: I have and hdmi switcher on my tv HDMI ARC, so i connected in the switcher the soundbar 700 and hdmi for sony headphones processor. The switcher don’t have external power supply, so it’s power supply is from HDMI’s connected in. When my tv, my sony headphones and bose soundbar are off, the switcher remain with green light. So i tried disconnect hdmi and is the soundbar hdmi cable that give it power when the soundbar is off. This continuous electric transfer via hdmi, in the long run, can damage my soundbar? Thank you

I'm sure the answer is no.  It's no different than if you had the soundbar plugged directly into your tv's HDMI without the switch.  People don't unplug their soundbars from the tv when not in use.

Ah ok, so in the case of direct connection soundbar-tv the soundbar transmit energy continuously via the hdmi cable even if the tv is off?

Thanks for writing in!

You shouldn't run into any issues at all here and should work just fine.
