Thanks for the great update! If all the troubleshooting has been completed and you still cannot complete the setup, it does sound like there may be an issue with the system. I recommend having your friend bring it to the service center or dealer for a replacement unit. With so many countries and regions in the world, we do utilize some third party service centers which are authorized by Bose to complete repairs/replacements for our customers.
Here is an update for today.
My friend had approached the merchant today and requested for replacement of the device. Please find below the details of the same.
Is there anything you can do to expedite or will this needs to be done locally here in UAE. Kindly check and revert.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do here from the Community and my best recommendation is to follow up with the merchant. I'm surprised they didn't replace it at the location since the system was not performing correctly.
