Speakers group delay

Hi, I recently purchased the New Soundbar 700 and 3 Home Speakers 500 to replace my Sonos system.
When i group the speakers together so that the output on all of them is the TV (through HDMI to the 700) there is a HUGE delay in sound on all the 500.
Is there a fix for that?

I really want to keep the new Bose setup but this is a deal breaker for me 😞

I have a few questions to help narrow down where the issue may be:

 

  • How far away is the Soundbar 700 from the router?
  • Is it connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
  • Have you been able to reboot the speakers and router for 30 seconds?

Hey Tony,

  • How far away is the Soundbar 700 from the router? Right on the top shelf of it 
  • Is it connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Wifi (Google mesh wifi)
  • Have you been able to reboot the speakers and router for 30 seconds? Tried it and still there is a delay

Spotify everywhere works fine, it's just HDMI input to the sounbar that has the same exact delay for all the 500s

Hi Tony,

 

I called Bose wireless support on Saturday and they advised me that the feature of HDMI rebrodcasting would always have a delay (that's the way it works).

 

I asked if there are any work arounds or if they intend on ever fixing that issue and i was told No and No 😞

So i ended up returning all my Bose products yesterday.
