Using Soundtouch 30 bought in India in USA

Hello All,

I got my Bose Soundtouch 30 purchased in India over to USA. But I am unable to connect it to US electric port due to voltage difference. Can you please suggest some transformer which which is of good quality and support SoundTouch 30 power wattage without damaging the unit. I did call up Bose USA customer care but they informed me that they don't sell these kind of accessories.

Thanks a lot in advance.

You probably just need a simple 110 volt to 220 volt converter of some sort.  I'm sure you can find what you need on Amazon.  You should be able to see the amps your device needs on the unit, power adapter, or owners manual.

Re: Using Soundtouch 30 bought in India in USA

Thanks for your response. What I found in owner’s manual is this.

Input power rating:
U.S.A./Canada: 120V 50/60 Hz, 150W
International: 220-240V 50/60 Hz, 150W

So any standard step up transformer would do then? Any reliable brand? Sorry, I am so naive in this department.
