The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Any new smart home devices?

I have a 500 soundbar system and a 450 smart speaker. I bought into the smart home series because I thought that the sound touch was being discontinued. There has not been anything new products in a few years but I see that you have a new sound touch speaker so I am a bit confused. I am looking to by more speakers but I am also looking to interface to existing stereos around the house. It looked like you had an option to do that on the sound touch platform but nothing on the smart home. So what is going on with the smart home platform, did you bail on that to go back to sound touch?

Hi Rickm1970.

Thank you for your post.

You are right in saying that Smart Home Family speakers is the future. It keeps on growing. Please check the this LINK to see the ever growing family.

Though Soundtouch family is going to its end of life, we still do support them.

Hope that helps!

Re: Any new smart home devices?

Thanks for the response. I guess the only thing I see that is new is the 300 sound bar but that seems like it is just a 500 sound bar not really anything new. I was looking for other things for around the house. Especially a link to a existing stereo that has Bose wired speakers. Looking for whole house integration inside and out.

Re: Any new smart home devices?

There are plenty of options for a whole home setup.

For your main home theatre solution I suggest the SoundBar 700 , sub and if needed, the rear speakers.

For music around the house the Smart Home 500 speaker is great for your main listening areas and large rooms while the Smart Home 300 works well in small rooms.

For the back patio or pool area the Bose Portable Speaker will do the job and eliminate the need for wires and amplifiers.

Use the grouping feature in the Bose Music app or Airplay if you want to join SoundTouch and Smart Home speakers.

This is what I have done tying my older

ST speakers with newer Smart Home speakers. Everything works and sounds great.
