I would love to help. Just so that I understand, are you trying to group your Home Speaker 500 with an Echo dot or are you experiencing an echo when creating a group with your Home Speaker 500?

 

Just to let you know, the Amazon Alexa assistant is available for integration with non-Amazon devices—like Bose products. However, some Alexa features that are supported with Amazon's Alexa devices are unsupported with non-Amazon Alexa devices. Learn which Alexa features are unavailable with your Bose Alexa-enabled products below:

 

The following Alexa features are not available on Alexa-enabled Bose products:

  • Phone calls are unavailable outside of supported regions. (These regions do support phone calls: Canada, United Kingdom, United States)
  • Audible is unavailable outside of supported regions. (These regions do support Audible: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, United States)
  • Alexa Kindle eBooks
  • Ring Doorbell
  • Changing the wake word from Alexa to something else
  • Setting a music service as an alarm tone
  • Playing and setting Bose presets
  • Grouping/play everywhere
  • Multi-room groups made up of Bose and non-Bose products

I would love to group my Bose 500 with other dots in the home.  Others have asked this question and we haven't received any information other than "we will let our team know you are interested in that feature". 

 

Is this feature being discussed, if so when will we receive a software upgrade.  Will it happen in 2021? If Bose has decided they don't want anyone to connect their Bose with dots we would love an answer to that as well.
