The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Bose 500 home speaker works perfectly in Spotify app, but not available on the Bose app.

Thanks for getting back and sorry for the delay responding.

I have a Bose 500 home speaker and I live in Ireland.

I have had the speaker for about one year and have been totally satisfied with it. I recently changed my music streaming service from Deezer to Spotify. The Spotify app allows me to select the speaker to play through. I have been using this feature and only recently noticed that the Bose app was saying speaker unavailable. I use the Bose app to access Tune In. To try to fix the issue, I deleted and reinstalled the apps both Spotify and Bose. Reset the Speaker. The app did let me install the speaker again but after setting up Alexa it then advised speaker not available. Can you help please

One procedure I do for missing services or speakers (greyed) is to log out of the SoundTouch app then log back in. Simple non destructive procedure that seems to correct a lot of issues.
