The last time (BOSE) Vicky_w gave us an update on this major MAJOR backlight issue and design flaw was on the 5/3/19.
And then only reassuring us the development team are aware, and onto it.
Its HIGH time, that they come out and tell us that it either can't be fixed, or that a mend has been found, and will be available soon.....just say something!!! This is a disgrace!
And this ultra short backlight issue is continuing to drive me nuts!
I just bought this and im already furious over the short backlight time.
I can't believe this issue has been ongoing for this long without being resolved.
We pay big bucks for this premium system, then we expect premium support to be included as well!

Bose the first step is simple, just give a honest answer.
1. Let us know if it is technically possible and you are working on it, or:
2. It's technically not possible, then it is clear for everyone and we can stop asking and hoping for a solution.

The Soundbar 700 is the most incredible thing I've ever bought. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with it. However, I will return it if they can't figure out this backlight thing.
I have 27 days to return it.
Please, Bose, let me keep the Soundbar 700. I am totally in love with it.

Just go ahead and return it. This has been an issue for well over a year. Bose isn't going to do anything about it.

this is an official Bose community forum, and no one feels responsible to hear the community. Absolutely ridiculous! I've bought many BOSE products over the last few years, and this unsatisfactory thread alone makes me wonder if I should choose another manufacturer in the future!

The BOSE App continues to get improvement updates for everything, EXEPT for the one thats the most important of all, and BOSE's biggest ever stuff up of all time.....this one!!!

That's easy . They cant fix it because it's a hardware issue ie; the timing circuit is built in to handset and fixed at around 6 seconds.
