Bose Home Speaker - Screen not working

Ok. The screen on my Bose Home Speaker worked fine. It showed The clock, and a picture of the  album. A day later it stopped showing any of these. Help, I have tried factory reset.

Hello Oliver,

 

Thank you for posting and welcome to the community. I'm sorry to hear the display on your Home Speaker 500 has stopped showing information. Thank you as well for trying the factory rest already as that is a troubleshooting step that is definitely worth trying for an issue such as this.

 

Just to clarify Oliver, does the speaker work correctly for playing audio still? Is it just the display that doesn't seem to be working correctly?

 

If we haven't done already, can we try power cycling the speaker, by disconnecting it from power for 30 seconds, then reconnecting it to power? That way we can let it reboot and reset before testing the speaker again.

It’s only The display that doesn’t work. The audio works perfectly.

Instead of asking people to reset their speaker, reconnect/connect the power supply please look into the issue more.

There are hundred of posts about this all over you forum.

 

@Oliver

You can search the forum and you will find plenty of posts of people facing the same issue.

Try shining a flashlight at the display.  Works for me.  Issue with the light sensor/ screen brightness.

OMG! This worked!
