Hi,
I just bought a pair of Bose Portable Home Speakers as I loved the Bose Revolve plus and these ones sound even better.
I also love the pact that you can use wifi or bluetooth to connect them.
But I cannot find how to have them play in stereo (similar to what can be done on the Revolve+).
How do you create a stereo group over bluetooth and wifi?
Hello macphi,
Thanks for reaching out via the Bose Community.
I can confirm it is not possible to pair the Portable Home Speaker as a stereo pair. While the speakers may look similar to the SoundLink revolve, they operate via an entirely different software architecture. You can, however, create groupings to have all Smart Speakers play the same thing at the same time.
You can learn more about the group feature here.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to get back in touch.
Kind regards,

Hi I reviewed your grouping article and had a follow-up question. I currently have a Soundlink Revolve + and Solo 5 Soundbar. I am interested in adding the Bose Portable Home Speaker to them. I have 2 questions. Could all 3 be grouped to play together? More importantly, can the Revolve + be grouped with the Portable Home Speaker to play as 1 speaker in the house...i.e. one downstairs and upstairs? I understand this cannot be done via Bose Connect App..if can be done which app do I need?
Hi Dherington,
Welcome to the community, thanks for reaching out.
The Portable Home Speaker, the Solo 5 and the SoundLink Revolve+ will not be able to be grouped together with a wireless connection through a Bose app or with a wired connection. The Solo 5 does not pair with a Bose app, and the Revolve + utilises the Bose Connect app. If you wished to group two speakers together via the Bose Connect app, you could do this with the following speakers: SoundLink Color II, SoundLink Micro, SoundLink Revolve or SoundLink Revolve+ in Party or Stereo mode. However do note that these need to be within the Bluetooth range of your device.
If you purchased a Portable Home Speaker, through WiFi connection you can group this through the Bose Music app, however this will need to be with another speaker device which utilises the Bose Music app.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
