Bose SoundDock 10

Hello Community,

I’m planning to give away my SoundDock 10 to my brother. This one I bought years ago and still sounds as great as when I bought it. I want to buy, of course, a replacement that has the same sound as my SoundDock 10. So which of the new releases has the same sound as the SoundDock 10? I was in a store that sells Bose and tried the Bose Home Speaker 500. I’m not entirely sure whether this provides the same sound as the SoundDock 10 or not and the salesperson not being a Bose specialist couldn’t guarantee that.

In the new smart speakers they haven't really done a replacement to the Sounddock10.  It is yet to be seen if they do a higher end system.

The SoundTouch 30 is pretty much the same speaker with the Wifi/BT capabilities, but the SoundTouch range is on the way out.  While it's a good speaker, I'd only recommend it now if you had other SoundTouch systems you wanted to pair it up with.

The closest you will get in the Smart speaker range is the Home speaker 500 which is probably as good for clarity, better for stereo, but not as good for bass.   So it would be a matter of do you purchase now and get the best you can (maybe move it to another room if Bose bring a better one out later), or wait an unknown amount of time and hope they bring out a Home speaker 700 (Total guess on that by the way)
