Just bought the system and loved it while it was working
However the HDMI Arc has stopped working
I know the bar is working as I can use it for my 6 preset radio stations
it started yesterday I had to do a full power restart after turning off dvr and tv to re engage the sound bar to get get working
now this morning after an overnight restart no sound
i presume my only option is to go to optical cable
thats not right
with the price I paid for the bar and sound bar I should have this facility
thinking about getting a refund!
plus I have to wait on a firmware for universal remote facility
can we we have an urgent firmware update to fix ARC issues ?

Have you been able to try and re-seat the HDMI cables from both ends?

I actually rang Bose phone support
after a few checks on on the phone we tried updating the hdmi arc format on my tv for hdmi 4
it has a standard or enhanced output
switching between either one works as it forces the tv to reset itself and restart
i don’t know whether it’s a Bose issue or tv issue
I have asked the Bose guys to see can intergrate a firmware change
so all sorted but not ideal have to explain this fix to everyone in the family

Have you tried performing a factory default on the Soundbar 700? Also, what is the make and model of your TV?

Hi there, i have the same issue here. After first two days use, it all works well. However, on the third day problem appear. The HDMI ARC function not working, even reset both TV and Soundbar, even the app. Called to the servie hotline, the operator suggested to use Optical instead to increase the stability and fix the current issue. I do know this could solve this issue, but this is not ideal for such pricing item as a solution. My TV model is Samsung UA48JU7000. Please advise if any firmware could help this problem.

I am sorry to hear about your trouble. Are you not getting audio from your Soundbar 700? You might also check to see if there are any updates available for your TV.

Let's make sure we re-seat the HDMI cable in the ARC port on the TV, and that you can select them as external speakers afterwards If this doesn't seems to resolve the issue, let's try something else:
If this doesn't seem to work, please let us know the make/model of the TV as well
