Re: Bose Soundbar 700 Sound Issue

I am still having this problem. I have unplugged both my tv, sb700, and the sub and I am still not able to select Dolby Audio in my audio settings. Only PCM. After updating to 4.0.9 it has been greyed out so it’s something to do with this update. 4.0.8 had the noise in the right side and now this. What do you suggest?

And I will add that it’s doing the same thing when I’m connected via optical

Re: Bose Soundbar 700 Sound Issue

Hi Evanfelts,

Thank you for coming back to us!

I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing these issues.

Our update does not have the ability to alter settings on your TV.

I would recommend resetting the handshake between your TV and SoundBar 700 to see if your TV recognizes the SoundBar and its compatibility with Dolby.

You can do this by unplugging both the TV and the SoundBar from power (leaving your HDMI cable connected), wait for 30 seconds > plug in the SoundBar and let it reboot > Once complete turn it on and select the TV source on the Remote control > Plug in the TV > retest.

If this fails to resolve your issue I would recommend resetting your TV to factory settings and seeing if this helps.

Let me know how you get on!

Kindest,

Jessie O
