The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Bose soundbar 700 won't play music from spotify

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on 

Samsung galaxy note 10

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

Playing music on spotify from the bose app results in a spinner spinning and nothing happens. This started happening since yesterday.  Nothing has changed really. All config is the same.

 

 

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously? 

2 days ago and prior to that it was fine

 

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Factory reset fixed for an hour then same thing happened

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue and I will do all I can to help! 

 

Can you tell me if anything has changed in your listening environment? This will help to determine if this is what caused the issue and will give me a better starting point to advise further. 

 

In the meantime, I would recommend that you try removing the Spotify playlist and re-adding it. You can do this in the settings menu under 'Music Services'. You will need to select the music service as well as the email address used to then have the option to remove it.

This problem finally got resolved by removing Spotify from the bose music app and adding it back in.
