Hello need help please:
- SoundBar 700 with Wireless Bass, Bose Music App
- All devices are on the same wireless network, no restrictions.
Firstly, Android seems to be ok, however on the IOS Bose Music App, I am able to find the SoundBar when searching for the device, however once added, I receive - Oops! Something went wrong. We had trouble establishing initial connection with your product.
Hi there, Thank you for reaching out and welcome!
I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your iOS device and the Bose Music app. I'll be happy to help where I can.
Can you tell me if you have any extenders or boosters in your listening space?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Jessie_O and thanks for offering to help.
If you are talking about wifi boosters or extenders, the answer is no. Wifi signal to both IOS and Bose devices is good and can reach via ping. (like others, using my phone without issue on Wifi most the time.)
Great! Thank you for confirming!
Do you have a dual-band network? I would recommend making sure you are connected to the same band your speakers are connected to.
I also suggest removing the app on your iOS device and reinstalling to make sure there is not an issue with the app.
Let me know!
I do have dual band, but have tried both 2.4 and 5Gig for both devices. Same behavior.
Ive also uninstalled and reinstalled the app without success.
Thanks for coming back.
Do you have WiFi assist enabled on your iOS device?
If you do, try disabling it and trying again.
Let me know how it goes!

Since the last update for the IOS version of the Bose Music App: 3.2.2
I also experience connection problems when starting up the Bose Music App. It happens with IOS: 12.4.6 and IOS: 13.4
Sometimes it takes some retry's to connect. Before this update it worked better.
Thanks for the inputs.
I have tried 2 different IOS devices, both cannot communicate with the Bose device.
Again, Android seems fine.
iPhone 7 - iOS 13.4 - Bose Music App 3.2.2
iPhone 10 - iOS 13.3.1 - Bose Music App 3.2.2
