Cant find Bose Soundbar 700 on Bose Music App

HI All,


My Bose Soundbar 700 worked fine for about a month then stopped working. I have a new phone now and tried using the Bose Music App to find the Bose Soundbar 700 and to no avail, its not showing up on my network. I have tried to reset my router to include resetting the unit by doing the following: 


  1. Turn the soundbar off
  2. Unplug the soundbar power cord from the power outlet
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reconnect the power cord
  5. Wait 30 seconds for the system to reboot


Also during the brief time that it was working, the remote no longer was able to control the unit and stopping lighting up. Please help, its killing me that I spent so much money and the dang thing just sits and collects dust.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community. I am very sorry to hear that you are having this issue, however I would love to help. 


On your new device do you have WiFi assist enabled? This may cause the issue in detecting the system. I would recommend ensuring that your mobile and Soundbar are on the same network. 


You can find WiFi assist in General > Mobile Data > Wifi Assist. I would ensure that this setting is off.
