Is there ANY way to make Home Speaker 300 altomatically stop playing after a certain time? aka a sleep timer?
I tried many tricks with its own app and google assistance without luck. Google assistance keeps replying with "sleep timer can only be set if there is media playing", even as the speaker plays music.... Any suggestions?
Thanks for posting. The Home Speaker 300 should go into Standby after 20 minutes of no use.
In regards to a sleep timer this isn't something that is currently available with the Home Speaker 300.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the clarification. I still find it rather strange that I can't even stop music by interacting with google assistance. Google Home supports it, so the google assistance itself must has this function. But somehow Bose doesn't enable it even though it has google/alexa built-in?
I can tolerate a buggy launch as long as it gets patched. But after some googling, I realized that Bose customers have been requesting this feature for many years to no vail https://community.bose.com/t5/SoundTouch-Archive/Sleep-Timer-and-Alarm/td-p/3329 This is the deal breaker for me. I'm returning the speaker this weekend.
Thanks for posting and updating me on this. I have just tested this in our demo room and found that this isn't something that the Bose system currently supports.
I will raise this again but as a Google Home feature rather than a SoundTouch feature.
Thanks for posting and sharing this information I will also pass this onto the development team as a feature request.
Not sure what you did. Mine totally has sleep timer with Alexa. I'm glad I decided to give Alexa a try before returning.
You are just being evasive.
Bose has the bad behaviour to define its products very tight, when talking about features.
Throughing your problem against Google isn't the solution.
GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY NEED.
It isn't a big clue to include a sleep timer in this product.
OR SHOULD I RESELL THIS THING AND STICK BACK TO MY SMARTPHOBE, OR THE GOOD OLD RADIO-CLOCK?
Thanks for your contribution.
It is just the way Bose does.
Few features, big theater!
Most people who pay lots of many for such products never complain on their weak feature set...
That's a big problem regarding to Bose.
