The app version on the Apple app store is 1.2.2. Opening the app from there doesn't seem to provide an option for users to update the Home Speaker 500. Clock here in Singapore is 4 hours ahead.
Thanks for providing this feedback while we look into this information. Our development team is requesting the make/models of the mobile devices that were used to setup the system as well as what OS version you have on it as well. Ex. iPhone X iOS 12.1 etc.
Also, in the settings of your mobile device, can we see if the time settings are set to automatic? If it is, can we try and set the location manually?

Using iPhone 7 running iOS 12.1.
Since this is happening all around the world, I don't believe it has anything to do with how time is set - be it automatically or manually. Besides, it worked well for all of us prior to the update on 14 November 2018.

iPhone X, iOS 12.1. I have tried Auto and Manual TZ in iOS.
Bose Firmware 7f715/. Is it worth mentioning again that the time _is_ displayed correctly, for a few seconds anyway when the 500 powers on before it reverts to showing GMT/UTC time.
I believe the issue. Is firmware related, not app related. Somewhere on the 500 it has the correct time and TZ as we see during startup but. It Is being incorrectly presented - or has missing TZ information - during the final decision to present the time. Gosh..
Thanks for the updates! Since this issue started after the firmware update was pushed to the speakers, I'd like to see if manually re-flashing the software on the system may bring this back to the correct time. The steps to follow are:
