Thank you for posting and welcome to the Bose Community. Sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your speaker, I would love to assist you with this.
The Home Speaker can be set to display the clock inside the Bose Music app under the product's settings. To do this simply open the Bose Music App > Click the icon in the bottom right > Settings > Clock.
The speaker will only show the clock when it is in standby mode! I would recommend resetting your mobile device and attempting to select your speaker again.
