I have just received a Home Speaker 500 for Xmas, and I have been struggling for days now to connect it to Alexa. I have the Bose skill loaded on the Alexa app, but the app refuses to find the device. Via the Bose app I am unable to sign onto Amazon, or enable the voice assistant piece. I am also unable to enable to authorise my music favourites via the app. This is all very dissapointing given that I have always been a Bose fan, and all other smart devices in my own have been connected seemlessly.
Any advice or help would be gratefully received.

What happens when you attempt to log into Alexa via the Bose Music app?
Can you otherwise use the speaker normally?
