The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

LG OLED + Bose Soundbar 700

Dear Bose,

I have seen several topics related to this request dating back to 2019:

Can you please map the home button on the Universal remote control to the home button functionality of LG TVs?

This is a key button-everything else is working perfectly....just wish this is implemented soon!

Regards,

Kris

Hello Verceti87 and thank you for reaching out!

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the universal remote on your Soundbar 700 system.

As button mapping on universal remotes isn't always a perfect process, some buttons or commands might not be able to be mapped depending on the coding or the button layout on the remote and the results can vary between different remote brands.

That being said, I will happily set up a feature request ticket for our development team to look into this for you.

If you have any other suggestions, please do let me know.

I hope this helps!

Hello Francisco and thank you for reaching out.

Sorry to hear that you are having audio issues with your soundbar,

I see that you are having issues with the HDMI connection. Have you tested with an optical cable to see if you can get audio to pass from the TV to the soundbar?
If you prefer to use HDMI over optical, you could perform a HDMI reset, which can be done via following these steps:

  1. Turn off the soundbar and the TV and unplug both from power.
  2. Leave both devices unplugged for at least 3 minutes.
  3. After 3 minutes plug the soundbar into power but leave your TV unplugged.
  4. Once the soundbar stops pulsing white, press the TV icon on your soundbar remote.
  5. Now plug your TV into power, turn on and test for audio.

Give this a try and let me know how you get on.

Looking forward to hear from you!
