I am sorry to hear you are having issues with the Wave SoundTouch System IV's pedestal unit.
Can you please check to ensure the pedestal is securely connected to the port on the back of the Wave unit, and also check to ensure all pins are intact.
The WiFi indicator can also be off if an ethernet cable is connected, or if the WiFi has been disabled.
To turn on or off Wi-Fi functionality:
On the back of the SoundTouch pedestal, press and hold the Control button for about 10 seconds until the Wi-Fi light on the back of the pedestal turns off.
Power on your system using the remote control, then wait while the system reconnects to your network.
