The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. My Soundbar 300 won't connect to factory remote

I was able to use my iPhone to download the Bose App and setup the Soundbar 300. How ever the factory remote with a new battery will not work with the Soundbar. How can I reset the Soundbar or Remote to have it work with the Bar.

I am glad to hear that you've been able to set up your Soundbar 300. Sorry that your remote is not working. 

 

In order to best assist you, could you please confirm if you have the Smart Soundbar 300 or the SoundTouch 300 Soundbar?

Hi Bob, 

 

The Smart Soundbar 300 uses a standard IR-based remote. 

 

There are no special requirements for setup, just point and click.

 

 

 

From the factory there may be a plastic tab present to prevent the battery from draining during shipping, have you checked to ensure this is removed?
