The TV does not support HDMI arc or optical - how can I connect the speaker to the TV so I can pick up audio through the soundbar

Tried to fling from Chrome cast - unable to pick up video from TV only from Apple phone.
Tried to Cast from Firestick unable to connect (have latest Firestick and firmware installed on Firestick)
As the TV is quite old - rather than having to go out and purchase a new TV (nothing wrong with the TV - just does not have the latest connections) - is there away to convert analogue to digital so the soundbar can be connected to the TV?
Connections in the back of the TV, are HDMI x 2, Audio in and out and good old scart sockets
