New firmware?

I just got a message from the Bose app that there will be a “critical” firmware update tonight on my 700 Sound bar. Does anyone know more about this or what the firmware is supposed to fix/change?

Watching TV this evening (2nd March) our connected 500 Soundbar suddenly went silent. It took us a second or two to realise that an automatic Firmware update was being installed.  The Soundbar has installed update 10.0.11-8771+cee8b62 which isn’t even mentioned in Product Support.

Firstly, can you advise why the update was installed whilst the Soundbar was in use (i.e. not overnight) and, secondly, what is this update for?

Yesterday watching TV, suddenly no sound from my 700 soundbar but white light flashing slowly. After about 2 minutes silence, the sound continues and white light went off. I assume an update was downloaded and installed.

Same thing happened with my 500 Soundbar last night.  I’m currently awaiting a response from Bose in a “Home Theater” thread on the Community.

I don’t know what they updated but the sound was just awesome. The magic bose sound is back. 
P.S Thanks bose the sound became wide room-filling detail stunning scene can be heard before every sound I'm just amazed!

My sound bar 700  just updated to firmware version 10.0.11? What is this firmware related to. What does it fix?

Whenever the firmware happened, it definitely didn’t happen overnight like it usually does. I took a screenshot yesterday early evening just so I could compare when I got up this morning. Yesterday early evening my firmware was 10.0.11 so it actually must’ve updated during the day when the TV was briefly off because when I woke up this morning I noticed that it was still 10.0.11. As of yet I personally don’t notice any difference between this and 10.0.10.
