So, the new Bose Portable Home Speaker- can I get a pair of them and have them play bluetooth stereo? I know they sound great but I don't want to give up the magical goodness of stereo productions.
Solved! Solution.
Hello Iroy316,
Thank you for getting in touch via the Bose Community! Welcome to the site.
The Bose Portable Home Speaker can pair using the grouping function of the Bose Music app, this works via a WiFi connection.
The speakers do not have the ability to create a stereo group (independent left and right audio channels for left and right grouped speaker) at present, but I'd be happy to put this through as a feature request.
Kind regards,

WOW THESE ARE AMAZING SPEAKERS, HOW ever the inability to play two of them as a stereo pair is a deal breaker for me. I am considering returning to best buy and purchasing sonos pair. I had bought a pair of revolve plus and they played in stereo. they were a little to small for where I had them in the shop so I returned and got two of the portable home speakers. I was heart broken to hear how good they sounded because I then learned that they could not play stereo recordings. how come you guys made the revolve plus with the ability to play stereo, but then offered a bigger brother ,that even looked in appearance to be similar, but with less capabilities? I PAID 780.00 WITH TX FOR YWO OF THESE AND THEY WONT PLAY STEREO. very disappointed customer!
is bose going to offer a fix, or am I going to be bringing these speakers back to the store?
I was surprised to find out that the two home portable units I just bought can't do stereo, nor can they group with the revolve+ (which does support stereo) I bought a few months prior.
Seriously?
This is a dealbreaker!
Sonos just confirmed that two of their "Sonos Move" (direct competitor to the Bose Home Speaker) speakers can only be paired to a "stereo group" if connected via WiFi. If the speaker is connected vie BlueTooth e.g. to a TV, it is not possible to use the "stereo group" functionality.
So the Bose Home speaker would be the only valid option if you want to use BlueTooth and pair two speakers to form a stereo group.
Can we get a commitment, that this feature will be added to the "Portable Home Speaker"?
Cheers,
Beo
**bleep**...now i have to buy SONOS. seems to me a firm like Bose should be thinking Stereo first. werent youfoundedt by audiophiles ?
I, like everyone else is waiting very patiently for a software update that would enable pairing the 2 PHS I bought over 6 months ago. I would like to hear a commitment from Bose as well on this upgrade. I have talked countless times to Bose and as usual know one at Bose seems to now what I’m talking about. Super frustrating. Let us know something. Tell us there are no plans so I can sell my 2 speakers and buy the Sonos Move or tell us that yes it is coming.
I just bought two Hone Soeaker 300s on the assumption that I could pair them in stereo mode like my SoundTouch 10s, Revolve Plus, Soundlink Micro and Soundlink Color II. I find it very difficult to believe the”latest and greatest” in their home speaker lineup can’t do this. In 28 days I will be returning them unless Bose has an app update to fix it. I’d rather keep my SoundTouch and Bluetooth speakers. I guess newer isn’t always better. Huge miss, Bose.
No pairing for stereo mode??? I just bought a 2nd portable home speaker to find out that stereo mode is not available. This is so disappointing. I might return the 2nd speaker.
