The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Slow or No respons. Bose speaker home 300

I have a Home 300 speaker and a google home in a separate room. The Bose speaker is extremely frustrating to use.

 

When asked with a task the response time is either very slow or I can see the lights flashing but no other response at all. 

 

When asked to play the latest news the speaker says “playing the latest news” and four times out of five, it just remains silent. 

I have none of these problems with the google speaker that is placed further away from the WiFi.

Firstly, can you please let us know what voice assistant you are using with the Home Speaker 300, as well as letting us know if you have tested with other voice assistants?

 

We have some great troubleshooting steps here for assistants not carrying out commands.

I’m using Google assistant and is not interested in changing as I’m using chromecast to my other speakers.

 

I’ve tried turning it on and off again and it isn’t the WiFi connection either
