What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S9 on Android 11, iPhone X on iOS14, etc.)
Hdmi 1 in my Toshiba fire tv, im using the arc option and the hdmi-cec device control is currently set to "on".
- Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce. An explosive sound of static came on out of the blue. If I turn the TV on with connection to the soundbar, the static is at 100% of volume level. I tried muting to no avail. I selected the source option on my Bose universal remote and the static went away, but so did my sound. I have restarted my TV, but no luck. The sound from the 500 is either 200% volume of nothing but static, or it is not heard. I have had this set up withing has been moved, my wi-fi is current and up to date with my router. I get the same static whether I'm on my fire TV, satellite, music...i.e. you tube, cable News, pandora. Im hooked up with Alexa but thats not working either. Everything is just blasting static. Even as I scroll through options in the tv menu, or when I'm selecting bluetooth or music buttons on the remote.
What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.) My environment is in a family room with no additional electronics that would cause interference. Nothing has changed in this room since I set this up a year or so ago.
When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously? It happened for the first time tonight. I was in the kitchen cooking and at first it sounded like it was coming from outside, it was so loud.
- Any troubleshooting steps you took. I restarted my TV, but have not done anything with the 500. At this point the system is unusable.
